1) Is the Eaton B-Line 8860 GGV wireway rated for outdoor or wet locations?
No. The 8860 GGV is a NEMA 1 enclosure, which is indoor general-purpose only. It offers no protection against rain, dripping water, or washdown, so keep it inside dry areas. For outdoor runs, rooftops, or anywhere hose-down or weather exposure is possible, you need a NEMA 3R or NEMA 4 wireway instead.
2) Does the B-Line 8860 GGV wireway come with knockouts already, or do I have to punch my own?
Knockouts are already there: 19 on the top and 19 on the bottom of the 60 inch section. You knock out only what you need for your conduit entries and leave the rest sealed. Side entries are not pre-punched, so any lateral penetration is field-punched.

4) Does the 8860 GGV wireway cover screw on or is it a hinged cover?
Screw cover. The cover is secured with plated screws along its length, not hinged and not latched. That gives you a solid, tamper-resistant closure but means pulling the full cover off for any wire pull or re-pull, so allow working clearance along the whole 60 inch run. If your crew will be opening the trough repeatedly during a fit-out, a hinged-cover wireway is the easier choice.
5) What is the 8860 GGV wireway made of, and will it hold up in a damp mechanical room or parking garage?
Galvanized steel, 14 gauge, finished gray. The galvanized base gives better corrosion resistance than plain painted steel in humid indoor spaces like mechanical rooms and pump rooms. It is still a NEMA 1 trough though, so it is not for direct water exposure or an open-air garage deck where rain reaches it.
