1) Will the B-Line 126-12LE9B elbow fit a 12 x 6 inch wireway run?
Yes. The 126-12LE9B is sized for 12 inch by 6 inch lay-in wireway, with a 12 inch width and 6 inch height matching the trough cross section, and an overall length of 9.44 inches through the turn. It is a 90 degree elbow with the opening on the inside of the turn.
2) What is the difference between an inside opening and an outside opening 90 degree wireway elbow?
The opening is the side you lay conductors in from. On the 126-12LE9B the opening is on the inside of the 90 degree turn, so the cover comes off toward the short radius of the corner. Pick the one whose opening faces the accessible side of your run, because once the wireway is mounted against a wall or ceiling you cannot flip it. If your trough covers face the outside of the corner, you need the outside opening version instead.
3) Is this B-Line wireway elbow rated NEMA 12, and does it come with the gasketing?
It is built to NEMA 12 and ships with a sealing plate kit, which is what maintains the dust tight, drip tight rating at the joint between the elbow and the adjoining trough sections. Without that kit at every joint the run does not hold NEMA 12. The fitting is also UL Listed.
4) Can I use this elbow outdoors or in a washdown area?
No. This is a NEMA 12 fitting, which covers dust, falling dirt and dripping non corrosive liquids indoors only. It is not rated for rain, hosedown or outdoor exposure, and the ANSI 61 gray painted steel is an indoor industrial finish. For wet or outdoor runs you need NEMA 3R or NEMA 4 wireway and matching fittings.
5) What does this wireway elbow weigh for overhead mounting and support spacing?
The 126-12LE9B weighs 12.485 lb bare. Add conductor fill on top of that when you size hangers or trapeze supports at the corner. It is steel, not aluminum, so plan the support on either side of the turn rather than letting the elbow carry the adjoining sections.
6) Will this match the finish on existing Eaton B-Line wireway in my plant?
It is painted ANSI 61 gray, the standard gray used across Eaton B-Line series steel wireway and enclosures, so it blends with existing runs in that finish. If your trough is stainless, aluminum or a custom color, this one will not match.
