1) Will the B-Line 1010 GF end flange fit a 10 x 10 wireway?
Yes. The Eaton B-Line 1010 GF end flange is sized for 10 inch by 10 inch wireway, with a 10 in height and 10 in length/depth and an 11.5 in overall width across the flange lip. If your trough is 4x4, 6x6, or 8x8, you need the matching flange for that size instead, not this one.
2) Is the 1010 GF wireway end flange rated for outdoor or wet locations?
No. It is a NEMA 1 (Type 1) part, which is indoor general purpose only, for protection against incidental contact and falling dirt. For a wet or outdoor run you need a NEMA 3R rated wireway and matching 3R flange, not this one. The 1010 GF is UL Listed.
3) What does a wireway end flange actually do, and do I need one?
An end flange closes off the open end of a section of steel wireway and gives you a flanged face to bolt the wireway to an enclosure, panelboard, or gutter so conductors can pass through. If a run of 10 x 10 wireway terminates into a piece of gear rather than another trough section, the 1010 GF is the part that makes that connection. If the run simply dead-ends with no gear attached, you want a plain end plate instead.
4) Is the B-Line 1010 GF flange steel or aluminum, and what is the finish?
Steel, painted ANSI 61 gray. That is the standard gray used across B-Line NEMA 1 wireway, so the flange matches the trough, covers, and fittings on the same run without touch-up.
