1) Will the B-Line 88 HST tee fit my 8 x 8 wireway run?
Yes. The Eaton B-Line 88 HST is built for 8 inch by 8 inch wireway, with an 8 in height and 8 in length/depth matching that cross section. It will not adapt an 8 inch run to a 4 x 4 or 6 x 6 trough; for those you need the tee sized to that cross section.
2) Is this wireway tee rated for outdoor or wet locations?
No. The 88 HST is a NEMA 1 enclosure rating, which is indoor general purpose only, no protection against rain or washdown. For outdoor or damp areas you need a NEMA 3R raintight wireway tee instead.
3) Is the B-Line 88 HST UL Listed for an inspected commercial job?
Yes, the 88 HST wireway tee is UL Listed. Material is steel, which is what an inspector expects on a NEMA 1 metallic wireway system.
4) Does the 88 HST let you lay conductors in, or do you have to pull them through?
It's a lay-in fitting. The cover comes off so conductors drop straight into the trough at the tee and get clamped or cabled off without a pull through a closed body. That's the reason wireway gets used over conduit on feeder and control runs that change often.
5) Will the gray finish on this tee match the rest of my B-Line wireway run?
It's painted ANSI 61 gray, the standard finish on steel wireway and switchgear, so it matches straight B-Line trough and elbows in the same finish without touch-up.
