It is built to NEMA 12, which covers dust, falling dirt and dripping non-corrosive liquids, so it suits machine shops and plant floors. NEMA 12 is not a washdown rating, so for hosedown or wet outdoor locations you want a NEMA 3R or 4 wireway system instead. The fitting is also UL Listed.

A telescoping fitting bridges a gap between two wireway sections that are already fixed in place, where you can't slide a straight length in. Because it adjusts along its 15 inch length, it takes up field dimension error between a panel and an existing run. A standard coupler only joins two sections that already meet. This one is a feed-through fitting, so conductors pass straight through with no pull point.

It is UL Listed and rated NEMA 12, matching the rating of a 6 x 6 NEMA 12 wireway run, so the fitting does not downgrade the system. Keep every fitting, elbow and cover on the run at the same NEMA 12 rating, since the lowest rated component governs the enclosure classification.

Order Eaton B-Line 66-12FT. The 66 is the 6 x 6 wireway size and FT is the feed-through telescoping fitting. Wireway sections, covers and hangers are separate items, so add whatever else the run needs.

It weighs 10.769 lb, so a single hanger at each side of the fitting is normally enough, but count it as added dead load when you are already near the limit on a trapeze supporting a long 6 x 6 run.
