1) Is the Eaton B-Line 1010120 G NK wireway rated for outdoor or wet locations?
No. The 1010120 G NK trough is a NEMA 1 enclosure, which is indoor, general-purpose only, and offers no protection against rain, dripping water, or washdown. For an outdoor run or a damp area you need a NEMA 3R raintight trough instead. It is CSA Certified.
2) Does this B-Line trough come with knockouts for conduit, or do I have to punch my own?
No knockouts. The 1010120 G NK is the NK (no knockout) version, so every conduit entry gets field-punched where you want it. If you would rather have factory openings on a standard pattern, order a knockout-style trough instead. The blank sides are the reason most electricians pick NK for a custom panel layout.
3) What else do I need to order to complete a wireway run with this trough?
The 1010120 G NK ships as the trough body and its screw-on cover. Connectors or couplings to join sticks together, elbows and tees for direction changes, closure plates for the open ends, conduit hubs or fittings for the entries you punch, and the wall fasteners for the thru holes are all separate. Order them in matching 10 by 10 inch size and NEMA 1 style.
4) How does the cover come off on the 1010120 wireway, and can I get into it after the wire is pulled?
It is a screw cover, secured with plated screws along the flange. You get full access to the whole 10 foot run by backing the screws out, but it is a tool-and-time job compared with a hinged or slip-on cover.
