B-LINE 1212120 HSNK – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the Eaton B-Line 1212120 HSNK wireway rated for outdoor or wet locations?
No. The 1212120 HSNK trough is a NEMA 1 enclosure, which is indoor, general purpose only. It gives no protection against rain, splashing water, or washdown, so keep it inside dry mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, or plant interiors. For a rooftop, exterior wall, or wash-down area you need a NEMA 3R or NEMA 4 rated trough instead.
2) Does this 12 x 12 wireway come with knockouts for conduit?
No knockouts. The 1212120 HSNK is supplied blank, so every conduit entry gets field-punched or hole-sawed where you want it. Plan on a knockout punch set on site. The only factory holes are the mounting thru holes in the back of the body.
3) Is the B-Line 1212120 HSNK wireway certified for use in Canada?
It carries CSA C22.2 certification, which is the Canadian Electrical Code product standard series, so it can be specified on Canadian jobs as well as US work.
4) What gauge steel and finish is the Eaton B-Line 1212120 HSNK trough?
14 gauge steel, painted ANSI 61 gray. That is the standard gray used across most industrial switchgear and control panels, so a run of this trough matches existing gear without a repaint.
