1) Is the Eaton B-Line 8860 HS wireway rated for outdoor or wet locations?
No. The 8860 HS is a NEMA 1 enclosure, which is indoor general purpose only. It offers no protection against rain, splashing water or wind-driven dust, so keep it inside dry areas. For a rooftop run, a washdown bay, or anywhere exposed to moisture, you need a NEMA 3R or NEMA 4 rated trough instead.
2) Does this B-Line trough come with knockouts already punched, or do I have to drill it?
The 8860 HS comes punched with 19 knockouts along the top and 19 along the bottom, so most conduit drops and feeds into panels below can land on an existing opening without a hole saw. Side and end penetrations you make yourself.
3) How does the B-Line 8860 HS wireway mount to a wall or strut?
It mounts through holes in the trough body, so you fasten it directly to the wall, backboard or strut with your own bolts or lags. No mounting hardware, brackets or standoffs are included, and neither are the connectors, end plates or hangers needed to tie sections together. Order those separately with the trough.
4) Does the 8860 HS wiring trough carry a Canadian listing for work north of the border?
It is certified to CSA C22.2, the Canadian Standards Association requirement set for electrical enclosures, so it is acceptable for Canadian installations as well as US work.
