1) Is the Eaton B-Line 6660 HS wireway rated for outdoor or wet locations?
No. The 6660 HS trough is a NEMA 1 enclosure, which is indoor, general-purpose protection against falling dirt only. It has no gasket and no rain-tight construction, so keep it out of wet, damp, or washdown areas. For outdoors you need a NEMA 3R rain-tight trough instead.
2) Does the cover on this B-Line trough come off, or is it hinged?
Hinged. The cover swings open on the 6660 HS rather than lifting off, so you can lay conductors in without juggling a loose panel or losing it on a lift. It's secured to the body with plated screws when closed.
3) How many knockouts does the 6660 HS wireway have and where are they?
Nineteen knockouts along the top and nineteen along the bottom, so you can drop conduit into the trough from either side of the run without field-drilling. Side walls use thru holes for mounting.
4) Is this Eaton B-Line wireway approved for use in Canada?
The 6660 HS is certified to CSA C22.2, so it is acceptable for Canadian installations as well as U.S. work.
