1) Is the Eaton E30 red OFF button a complete pushbutton, or just the legend plate and button insert?
It is the button/legend plate component only, not a complete operator. The E30 red OFF button insert is made to go into an Eaton E30 series square multifunction pushbutton operator, so you still need the operator body and the contact blocks to build a working control station.
2) What does the Type A, B, C or E actuator style mean when ordering the E30 OFF button?
Those are the four actuator styles offered, all in the extended button profile: Type A Extended (E30KA218), Type B Extended (E30KB218), Type C Extended (E30KC218) and Type E Extended (E30KE218).
