The Eaton E51 D-series sensor heads come both ways, and the choice is purely about which direction the target passes. Side sensing units are E51DS1 (standard frequency) and E51DS2 (alternate frequency); top sensing units are E51DT1 (standard frequency) and E51DT2 (alternate frequency). 2) Why would I choose the alternate frequency version of the Eaton E51 proximity sensor?
Mounting two standard-frequency inductive sensors close together can cause them to interfere with each other.
