It's a dummy set, so there is no latch and no bolt. The 4042 STRETTO is fixed trim on a 2 x 10 inch arched plate, used on doors that are held shut by a ball catch, roller catch or magnetic catch, or on the inactive leaf of a pair of French doors. If you need the door to stay closed on its own hardware, you need a passage or privacy function instead.

No. The 4042 dummy is a non-keyed, non-electronic set with no cylinder. If you need keyed security on that opening, look to a keyed STRETTO function or a separate deadbolt.

It is catalogued for residential use. For apartment interiors, model units and single-family work it is appropriate; for high-traffic commercial openings that call out a graded, cycle-tested lockset, specify a commercial line instead.
