Emtek 5042 STRETTO Narrow Trim Lockset, 2" x 10" Rectangular Keyed, Brass Tubular, Dummy (Pair)

It is a dummy set, so there is no latch and no functioning mechanism. The 2 x 10 inch STRETTO rectangular plates and the knobs or levers are fixed pull trim only, used on closet doors, inactive leaves of a pair, or french door slabs that are held closed by something else. If you need the door to latch or lock, you want a passage, privacy or keyed STRETTO set instead.

No door prep is needed. The 5042 dummy is surface mounted, so the plates and trim fasten to the face of the door. The related functioning STRETTO sets use a narrow 1-1/4 inch prep with 3-3/8 inch center-to-center hole spacing, which is why this trim lines up with those openings if you later swap functions.

Yes, handing is a required selection, right hand or left hand. It matters because the lever castings are handed; if you pick a knob the handing choice still has to be made on the order. Determine hand from the outside of the door facing it.

Yes. It is the same 2 x 10 inch STRETTO rectangular plate and takes the same brass knob and lever designs as the functioning STRETTO passage, privacy and keyed sets, so a dummy on a closet or inactive leaf reads identically to the latching doors next to it in the same finish.

Any Emtek brass knob or lever can be paired with it. The list runs ten levers (Aurora, Bryce, Cimarron, Cody, Durango, Lariat, Mariposa, Montrose, Teton, Yuma) and fifteen knobs including Butte, Egg, Round, Winchester, Bristol, Hampton, Lowell, Windsor, Astoria, Diamond, Georgetown, Modern Disc, Modern Square, Old Town and Providence. Trim style is a required choice on the order.

It ships as a pair, so you get trim for both faces of one door leaf. For a single-sided application, such as the pull side only of a closet door, a pair is more hardware than you need.

It is classified residential. The STRETTO narrow trim in the brass collection is a contemporary decorative line, and as a dummy it carries no latch, grade or life-safety function, so it does not belong on a rated or high-traffic commercial door. For multifamily unit interiors and high-end residential it is the right fit.

No cylinder. It is listed non-keyed, and as a tubular dummy there is nothing for a cylinder to operate. If you need key control on that opening, move to a keyed STRETTO entry set.

Three: Flat Black (FB), Medium Bronze (MB) and Tumbled White Bronze (TWB). All three are on solid brass trim, so they match the rest of Emtek's brass collection if you are trying to keep a whole floor of doors consistent.
