Factory-installed "L" bolts measure 6-1/2" in length, which is often insufficient when the jamb dimension [D] measured on the door frame exceeds 5". These extra long L-bolts provide the additional length required to properly secure the door bar assembly in deep door frame applications, and they are designed to be trimmed to the exact length needed during installation using a "STEEL GRIP" cutting tool. As part of the Exit Security Door Bars series within the Door Trim and Latch Protection subgroup, this pair of bolts restores full function to security bar hardware where standard-length bolts fall short.
