The JEB100 is a 1/2-13 eye bolt with a 4 inch shank. The 1/2-13 callout means a 1/2 inch diameter body with 13 threads per inch, which is standard UNC coarse, so it runs into any 1/2-13 nut, coupling, or tapped hole without an adapter.

It is the plain (non-shouldered) pattern. Plain eye bolts are meant for straight-line pull only, in line with the shank. If your load pulls at an angle, you want a shouldered eye bolt seated tight against the surface instead, because an angular pull on a plain eye will bend it open.

Forged. The eye on the JEB100 is formed as a closed forged loop rather than bent from rod with an open gap, so the eye will not spread under load the way a formed-wire eye can.

The JEB100 is steel with a zinc finish, which gives general corrosion protection for indoor, damp, and sheltered outdoor use. For sustained wet exposure, direct weather, or coastal and chemical environments, step up to stainless rather than zinc plated steel.

That is the usual job for it. Electricians use plain forged eye bolts like the JEB100 as an anchor point for wire rope, chain, guy wire, or a rod hanger on overhead support. Because it is a plain eye and not shouldered, keep the pull straight down the axis of the shank. Note the shank is 4 inches overall, so allow for the thickness of what you are passing through plus the nut and washer.

None are included, so add them separately. Anything tapped or threaded 1/2-13 works: a 1/2-13 hex nut, and a flat washer plus lock nut if you are through-bolting. Match the plating, zinc on zinc, so you are not mixing dissimilar finishes on the same connection.
