Metallics PFMD2201300 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Do I need a separate driver for each type of Hangermate anchor I'm installing?
No. The PFMD2201300 driver covers the wood, steel, and concrete Hangermate types, so a contractor running mixed overhead work doesn't need to carry three tools.
2) What is the Metallics PFMD2201300 Hangermate driver used for?
It's the installation driver tool for Hangermate anchors, covering the wood, steel, and concrete versions of those fasteners. You chuck it in a drill or impact driver and it seats the Hangermate rather than driving it by hand. Sold as a single piece, part number PFMD2201300.
3) Does the Metallics Hangermate driver come with the anchors, or is it bought separately?
Separately. PFMD2201300 is the driver tool only. The Hangermate fasteners themselves (wood, steel, or concrete versions) are ordered as their own items, so add the anchor type that matches your substrate to the same order.
4) How many drivers come in a Metallics PFMD2201300 order?
One. The PFMD2201300 is a single driver, not a multi-pack, so if you're kitting out several crews order a unit per installer.
5) Is the PFMD2201300 a fastener or a tool?
It's a tool, not a hanger. Metallics catalogs it alongside their screw fasteners because it exists to install Hangermate anchors, but the part itself is the driver bit that seats them.
