OATEY 45333 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will Hercules For Hands towels take fresh PVC cement and flux off a plumber's hands?
Yes. The Hercules For Hands pre-moistened towels soften and remove plastic pipe cements, and also handle flux, sealants, caulk, grease, oil, tar, adhesives, lubricants, industrial paints, epoxy and polyester resin, printers inks and general grime. They work best while the cement is still fresh.
2) How many towels are in the Oatey 45333 tub and how big is each towel?
Each dispenser tub of Oatey 45333 holds 70 towels, and each towel measures 12 by 10 inches, so one sheet is big enough for both hands and a tool without tearing up.
3) Can these shop towels be used to wipe down finished surfaces, or will they scratch?
They can be used on surfaces as well as hands. The material is non-abrasive and will not leave scratches or marks, and Oatey lists steel, aluminum, laminates and wood among the surfaces it cleans. Still worth a test spot on anything painted or delicate.
4) Are these hand wipes harsh on skin for crews using them all day?
No harsh solvents are in the formula, and the towels carry aloe vera, vitamin E and lanolin moisturizers. The non-abrasive material is specified as not irritating hands, which is the point for a crew wiping down several times a shift.
5) What is the shipping weight of one tub of Hercules For Hands towels for a stockroom order?
One tub weighs 2.242 lb with a volume of 0.137, so a case of tubs stays light for shelf stocking in an MRO cage or on a service van.
6) Is the Oatey 45333 tub suitable for counter display in a supply house?
Yes. The tubs are merchandised in a corrugated, branded tower built for counter display, so a distributor can set them at multiple checkout points rather than shelving them in the back.
