HES 1000-102 1006 Series Rain Guard Rain, Rain Or High Dust Areas

Only the 1006 Series. The 1000-102 rain guard is built to that strike's frame cutout, so it is not a fit for other HES strike bodies. If the strike already in the frame is a different series, match the guard to that series instead of forcing this one.

Commercial duty, and Grade 1. That is the heaviest ANSI/BHMA duty tier, which is what a spec on an exterior entrance or a high-traffic institutional opening usually calls for. It is part of an electrified opening, so it is intended for access-controlled doors rather than plain mechanical hardware.

The 1000-102 ships as a single model with no options to pick, so there is nothing to configure on the order. What it does not include is the strike: it is an accessory for a 1006 Series electric strike, so the strike body and its power supply are separate line items. If you are outfitting several exterior doors, order one guard per strike.

On a conditioned interior opening, a rain guard buys you nothing. It earns its place on doors that see weather or airborne dust: exterior entrances, loading dock and warehouse doors, parking structures, shop and mill environments. Water or dust settling in a strike keeper is what causes the latch to bind and the solenoid to fail early, and the 1000-102 exists to keep that out of a 1006 Series strike.
