It's a commercial-duty part, rated Grade 1, which is the heaviest ANSI/BHMA duty tier used on institutional and high-traffic openings. That matches the service level of the 1500 and 1600 Series strikes it goes into.
2) Is the MOD-1SOL an electrified component or just a mechanical part?
Electrified. The solenoid is the coil that pulls the keeper on the strike when the access control system energizes it, so it lands on the low-voltage side of the opening and gets wired back to the same supply the strike was already running on.
3) What other electric strike and access control repair parts are there besides the HES solenoid module?
The MOD-1SOL is specific to HES strike repair. If you're working other parts of the same opening, ZenSupply carries adjacent access control components such as the Adams Rite 4605 transformer, which steps 115 VAC down to 12/24 VAC with 40 volt-amp output for powering low-voltage hardware, and the RCI 9500/9501 Series mortise pin transfer rated 1.5A at 24VAC for getting power through the door edge.
