Houzer 3322-8BS3-1 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What size cabinet do I need for the Houzer 3322-8BS3 33-inch double bowl sink?
A 36 inch base cabinet is the minimum for the Houzer 3322-8BS3. The sink itself is 33 x 22 x 8 inches overall, so a 33 inch cabinet will not leave enough material around the cutout. On a remodel where the existing cabinet is 33 inches, you need a smaller sink, not this one.
2) Will a 3-hole sink work if I want a faucet with a separate sprayer or soap dispenser?
The 3322-8BS3 is punched with three holes, which covers a centerset or widespread faucet plus one accessory, or a single-hole faucet with two accessories such as a side sprayer and a soap dispenser. If your faucet is a 4-hole setup with both a sprayer and an air gap, you are one hole short and would need to drill the countertop or choose a 4-hole model.
3) Does the Houzer Glowtone 3322-8BS3 drop into an existing countertop cutout, or does it mount from below?
It is a topmount, also called drop-in. The rim sits on top of the counter and carries the weight, so it works on laminate, tile, wood, or stone without needing undermount clips or sink rails. Mounting hardware and installation instructions come in the box.
4) What drain and disposer will fit this Houzer double bowl sink?
Both bowls take a standard 3-1/2 inch kitchen drain opening, centered in each bowl. That is the standard US disposer flange size, so a garbage disposal mounts directly to either bowl. Basket strainers are not included; Houzer lists the 190-9180 basket strainer as the matching accessory.
5) What accessories do I need to order with the Houzer 3322-8BS3 to finish the install?
Mounting hardware and instructions ship with the sink. Everything touching the drain is separate: a basket strainer (190-9180) for each bowl, and optionally two bottom grids (BG-3100, one per bowl) plus the CB-3100 cutting board. Tailpieces, trap, and faucet are not part of the sink.
6) Does this Houzer sink meet plumbing code for a permitted job?
The Glowtone 3322-8BS3 is IAPMO certified, which is the listing inspectors look for on plumbing fixtures in UPC jurisdictions.
7) Which finish does the Glowtone 3322-8BS3 come in?
One finish only, satin stainless steel, ordered as 3322-8BS3-1. The satin brush hides water spots better than a mirror polish and matches most stainless appliance fronts.
