Houzer BCD-3322 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What size cabinet do I need for the Houzer BCD-3322 sink?
You need a 36 inch base cabinet minimum. The BCD-3322 has an overall footprint of 33 x 22 x 9 inches, so a 33 inch cabinet will not take it - the rim needs bearing surface on the countertop beyond the cutout. On a kitchen remodel where the existing run is 33 inch cabinets, this sink is the wrong part.
2) How many faucet holes does the Houzer BCD-3322 have?
One. That single deck hole takes a single-hole faucet only. If your spec calls for a sprayer, soap dispenser or air switch for a disposal, there is no second or third hole to put them in - you would need to drill the countertop or pick a 3 or 4 hole sink instead.
3) Will a standard garbage disposal and basket strainer fit the BCD-3322 drain openings?
Yes. Both bowls use a 3-1/2 inch drain opening, which is the standard kitchen size that food waste disposers and standard basket strainers are built for. The basket strainer (190-9180) ships with the sink.
4) What comes in the box with the Houzer BCD-3322 - do I need to buy a strainer and clips separately?
No separate purchase needed for the basics. The sink ships with a basket strainer (190-9180), two bottom grids (BG-3300 and BG-3350) sized for the large and small bowl, plus mounting hardware and installation instructions. A cutting board (CB-3300) is an optional add-on, and you still supply the faucet, tailpieces, trap and silicone.
5) Where are the drains located on the Houzer BCD-3322, and does that affect my under-sink storage?
Rear drain placement on both bowls. That pushes the P-trap and tailpieces toward the back wall of the cabinet, which frees up usable shelf space underneath and generally makes it easier to line up with an existing rough-in at the back of the cabinet.
6) Do the included bottom grids scratch the sink or rattle?
The grids sit on protective plastic feet that hold them in position, which keeps them off the sink floor and cuts the noise and movement when dishes are dropped in. They also take the wear on the basin bottom, which is where drop-in stainless sinks usually show scratches first.
7) What finish is the Houzer BCD-3322 and will it match other stainless appliances?
Satin stainless. It is a brushed, non-mirror finish, which is the common appliance-matching look and hides water spotting and light scratching far better than a polished finish. That is the only finish the BCD-3322 is built in.
