Houzer BG-4090 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Which Houzer sink does the BG-4090 bottom grid fit?
The BG-4090 Wirecraft bottom grid is cut to fit the Houzer CTO-3370 sink bowl and nothing else. Houzer grids are bowl-specific, so if your sink is a different Houzer model, this one will either rock on the bowl radius or sit short of the walls. Confirm the model number stamped or labeled on the underside of the sink before ordering.
2) Will a stainless bottom grid scratch my stainless sink?
No. The BG-4090 sits on protective plastic feet, so the stainless wire never rides directly on the bowl surface. The feet also stop the grid sliding around and damp the noise of pots and dishes landing in the sink.
3) Is a bottom grid worth specifying on rental or multi-family kitchen sinks?
It is the cheapest way to keep a sink bowl looking new through tenant turnover. The BG-4090 keeps pans, cutlery and cast iron off the stainless floor, so the scratching and dulling that shows up in the bottom of an unprotected bowl does not happen. It drops in with no install work, no fasteners and no plumbing, so a maintenance tech can add one to an existing CTO-3370 in seconds.
4) What finish does the Houzer BG-4090 grid come in?
Satin stainless steel is the only finish offered, which matches the brushed look of a standard Houzer stainless bowl rather than standing out against it.
