1) Does the Houzer PGT-4322 drop into an existing countertop cutout or does it need an undermount rail?
It's a topmount, so it drops into the cutout from above and the rim rests on the deck. No support rails or adhesive undermount clips are involved. Mounting clips, a template and instructions come in the box, so you cut to the template and clamp from underneath.
2) How many faucet holes does the PGT-4322 have, and what can I mount in them?
Four holes are punched in the deck. That covers a standard three-hole faucet with handles plus a fourth accessory such as a side spray, soap dispenser or air switch, or a single-hole faucet with three accessories. The holes are fixed at the factory, so pick a faucet configuration that uses four or fewer.
3) Are the three bowls on the PGT-4322 the same size?
No, all three differ. Left bowl is 14-1/16 x 18 x 9 inches, the middle is 7-1/8 x 15-3/4 x 5-1/2 inches, and the right is 14-1/16 x 15-3/4 x 8 inches. The narrow shallow center bowl is a prep or disposal station, not a wash bowl. If you need to lay a sheet pan or an oven rack flat, the 18 inch left bowl is the only one that will take it.
4) What is the difference between the PGT-4322-1 and the PGT-4322-C?
Same sink, different accessory pack. The PGT-4322-1 ships with the three basket strainers only. The PGT-4322-C adds the three bottom grids (BG-1100, BG-3100 and BG-3400) sized to each bowl. Both are satin stainless with four holes. If you are protecting the sink floor from pots and flatware, order the -C; grids bought later have to match the individual bowl footprints.
5) Is 18 gauge stainless heavy enough for a rental or multi-family kitchen?
18 gauge T-304 is the standard specified for commercial-duty residential sinks and it is a step up from the 20 and 22 gauge stock found in builder-grade sinks. T-304 is the chromium-nickel grade that resists food acids and cleaning chemicals. For a property manager standardizing across units, this is the gauge that holds shape under a full pot load and does not oil-can when a disposal runs.
6) Will a triple bowl sink be quiet enough, or does stainless steel rattle?
Sound control on the PGT-4322 is two-layer: a Super Silencer pad bonded to the underside with StoneGuard undercoating over it. That kills the drum effect you get with a bare 18 gauge bowl, particularly on the deep 9 inch left basin where a dropped pot has the most room to ring.
