Houzer RB-2500 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) I manage apartments with Houzer kitchen sinks. Can I order one basket size for all of them?
Not safely. The RB-2500 is cut to fit five specific bowls, the EHD-3118, ES-2408, LHD-3322, MS-2309 and STS-1300. If your units have a mix of Houzer models, you will need to match the basket to each sink model rather than standardizing on one part number.
2) Is the Houzer RB-2500 a protective sink grid or a rinsing basket?
Both roles, really. Houzer catalogues the RB-2500 as a rinsing basket and as a sink grid type accessory: the wire body nests down in the bowl so you can rinse and drain dishes and glasses in it, while keeping them off the bowl floor. A flat bottom grid only protects the sink surface; this one has 6 inches of depth so it holds a load.
3) Does the RB-2500 need any mounting hardware or plumbing work?
No install work. The basket sits in the sink bowl on its own, so there are no fasteners, no drilling and nothing to disconnect. It is a drop-in kitchen sink accessory, which makes it easy to spec for multi-unit turns where no plumber is needed.
4) Is the RB-2500 basket stainless steel, and what grade?
It is stainless steel, specifically T201 premium stainless as supplied by Houzer. That keeps it rust resistant in a wet kitchen bowl and lets it take hot dishes and glassware without staining the sink surface.
5) What finish does the Houzer RB-2500 come in?
One finish only, satin stainless steel. That matches the brushed satin look of Houzer's stainless kitchen bowls, so it blends in rather than standing out against the sink.
