Houzer RB-4100 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Which Houzer sink does the RB-4100 rinsing basket fit?
The RB-4100 Wirecraft rinsing basket is cut to fit the Houzer NOS-4100-1 sink. It is not a universal grid, so it will only nest correctly in that bowl. If you have a different Houzer model, check that sink's own accessory listing for the matching basket.
2) Is the Houzer RB-4100 basket stainless steel, and will it rust in a commercial kitchen?
It is built from T201 premium stainless steel wire. T201 is a chromium-manganese stainless, so it holds up to daily rinsing but should be dried after use and kept clear of standing salt or bleach, the same care Houzer specifies for its sinks.
3) Does the RB-4100 protect the bottom of the sink, or is it just for drying dishes?
Both jobs. The Wirecraft basket nests in the bowl so dishes and glasses sit above the sink floor, which keeps pans off the finish while they drain. Houzer catalogues it as a sink grid for that reason.
4) What finish does the Houzer RB-4100 come in?
One finish only: satin stainless steel, which matches the brushed satin bowls Houzer uses on its kitchen sinks. There is no polished or coated version of this basket.
5) Is the RB-4100 a kitchen accessory or can it be used in a bar or utility sink?
Houzer specifies it for kitchen sink use, and its size, 20-3/4 by 15-1/2 inches, rules out most bar and prep bowls. For a smaller bowl you want a grid sized to that specific model.
