1) What wire gauge does the Sta-Kon RA713 ring terminal crimp?
The RA713 is sized for 22 to 16 AWG stranded copper conductor. Red insulation is the standard color code for that range, so if the wire in your hand is 14 or 12 AWG, this is the wrong barrel and you need the next size up (blue for 16-14, yellow for 12-10).
2) Is the Sta-Kon RA713 rated 600 volts?
The nylon insulation on the RA713 carries a 600 V rating, which covers standard commercial branch circuits, control panels and motor control wiring. It is also UL recognized under file E9809.
3) Should I use a ring terminal or a fork terminal on a panel stud?
Use the ring, like the RA713, anywhere the connection is on a stud or bolt that carries vibration or matters for safety, because a ring is captive and cannot pull out if the nut backs off slightly. A fork (spade) terminal is faster to service since it slides out without removing the nut, which is why techs use it on control terminals they expect to re-land. For grounds, motor leads and anything in a vibrating enclosure, the ring is the right call.
4) Is the RA713 terminal barrel copper or aluminum?
Copper. That means the RA713 is for copper conductor only, not aluminum wire, and it needs a copper-rated crimp die. The nylon body over the barrel adds strain relief at the wire entry compared with a plain vinyl sleeve.

It is a non-insulated-style barrel inside a nylon sleeve and must be crimped, not soldered or set with pliers. Use a ratcheting insulated-terminal crimper set for the red 22-16 AWG nest; crimping in the blue or yellow nest will under-form the barrel and the wire will pull out.
