Sta-Kon F2048 INS PP FERRULE 4, 25 MM2, LG 1.22

The F2048 wire ferrule is sized for 4 AWG conductor, which is the 25 mm2 metric equivalent called out in the part description. Strip length to suit the 1.22 inch overall length of the ferrule. If you are terminating finer or heavier cable, you need a different ferrule size, not this one.

Copper barrel with a polypropylene insulating collar over it. That means it is intended for copper conductor; do not use it to terminate aluminum wire, which needs a connector rated and filled for aluminum.

A ferrule is what you use when stranded conductor has to go into a screw or spring-clamp terminal. It bundles the strands into one solid pin so nothing frays out, the clamp pressure stays even, and the connection does not loosen as the strands settle. The F2048 is the 4 AWG / 25 mm2 size, with an insulated polypropylene collar that covers the strip point. Bare stranded wire into a box lug is acceptable in some terminals, but for control panels and anywhere strand escape is a concern, the ferrule is the right call.

Yellow is the color code on this insulated ferrule, and on a panel build that color is how an electrician confirms at a glance that the right size was crimped. The F2048 is yellow for 4 AWG / 25 mm2. Don't rely on color alone across brands though, since color coding systems differ; match the stated wire size.

Germany. That matters on projects with country-of-origin reporting or a trade-agreement requirement in the submittal package.
