The K-BXA/R-NH is the weld-on lock box built for Adams Rite 1850s and 1851s deadlatch hardware. It is the no-hole version, so there are no cylinder holes drilled in the box faces.
2) How much room do I need in the gate frame to weld in the K-BXA/R-NH box?

6) Is the K-BXA/R-NH a surface mount box or does it get welded in?
It is a mortise-type box, meaning it sits inside the frame rather than bolting to the face. On gates and hollow tube stiles that means cutting the opening and welding the box in, then finishing and painting it with the gate.
