OATEY 28628 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the Oatey 028628 a complete test plug or an add-on conversion kit?
It is a conversion kit, not a standalone plug assembly. The 028628 converts a 4 inch Air-Loc plug to quick-disconnect operation, so you are buying the conversion parts to work with an Air-Loc plug you already have on the truck.
2) What does the Q.D. mean on the Oatey Air-Loc 4 inch plug kit?
Q.D. is quick disconnect. The conversion lets the air line come off the 4 inch Air-Loc plug without breaking down the whole assembly, which is what plumbers want when they are moving between risers or stacks during a DWV air test.
3) Which Oatey part number do I order for the 4 inch Air-Loc quick-disconnect conversion?
Order Oatey 028628, sold under manufacturer part number 28628. That is the only model in this kit, so there is no size or finish choice to specify on the order.
4) How heavy is the Oatey 028628 Air-Loc conversion kit for shipping or van stock?
The kit weighs 4.82 pounds, light enough to keep on the truck with the rest of the test gear and not something that needs freight handling.
