OATEY 28648 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What pipe size does the Oatey Air-Loc conversion cap fit?
It is a 2-1/2 inch cap, so it is sized to 2-1/2 inch pipe. For any other line size you need a different cap, not this kit.
2) Is the Oatey 28648 cap removable, or is it a permanent cap?
It is a quick-disconnect cap, so it comes off and goes back on without cutting the pipe. That is the point of the Air-Loc conversion kit: a 2-1/2 inch end cap you can pull for access rather than a glued or soldered dead end.
3) Do I order anything else with the Oatey 28648, or is it a complete kit?
It is sold as a kit, and only one version exists under part 28648, so there is no finish, size, or option to pick. Order quantity by the number of 2-1/2 inch openings you are converting.
