There's a galvanized steel core inside the jacket, so it is metallic flexible conduit, not nonmetallic. That means it has the mechanical crush resistance of steel flex and, with proper liquid tight fittings, can serve as the equipment grounding path in the sizes and conditions the NEC permits. If your spec calls for LFNC (plastic core), this is not the right product.

That's the normal application for 2 inch liquid tight flexible metal conduit: a flexible, moisture sealed whip between rigid raceway and a vibrating or movable piece of equipment such as a rooftop condensing unit, air handler, or pump motor. The steel core takes the abuse and the jacket keeps out water and washdown. Terminate both ends in listed 2 inch liquid tight connectors.

Sealtite is a trade name for liquid tight flexible metal conduit, which is what this product is, so it serves the same purpose. Greenfield is the older nickname for plain flexible metal conduit with no jacket, which has no liquid tight rating and is not a substitute where moisture, oil, or outdoor exposure is involved.

The jacket is grey, which is commonly used to distinguish a circuit type or to match grey PVC raceway on a job. Electrically and mechanically it is the same 2 inch steel core liquid tight flex; the color is for identification only. If your other openings and panels are run in black flex, ordering grey will be a visible mismatch.
