1) Will the Square D HOMFP filler plate fit any Homeline load center?
Yes. It is a Homeline-only part, so it will not snap into a QO panel or another brand's load center.
2) Can I use these filler plates in an outdoor or three-phase panel?
No. Homeline load centers are single phase and rated for indoor use, and HOMFP is intended for that same indoor residential environment. For an outdoor enclosure or a three-phase commercial panelboard you need the filler plate specified for that equipment, not a Homeline plate.
3) Can an Eaton filler plate be used to cover an unused space in a Square D Homeline panel?
No. The HOMFP filler plate is built for Square D Homeline load centers and is compatible with any Square D Homeline circuit breaker load center, including panels with the fully distributed neutral bar. The Eaton 5155C62H01 is a single pole panel mount filler plate for Eaton's GB/GHB/GHBS series equipment, so it is cut and retained for that series, not for Homeline. Match the filler plate to the panel manufacturer and series.
4) How many filler plates come in a HOMFP pack?
Five. HOMFP ships as a set of 5 plates, so a single pack covers five open single-space openings in a Homeline panel. If you are blanking off a panel with more unused spaces than that, order multiple sets.
5) What size opening does a Homeline filler plate cover?
The plate measures 2.66 in height, 0.99 in width, and 1.21 in depth, which corresponds to a single Homeline breaker space. For a two-pole gap you would use two plates.
6) Why bother filling unused breaker spaces in a load center at all?
An open space leaves energized bus exposed through the deadfront, which is why panels are expected to be blanked off. HOMFP plates close those openings so the panel stays complete and ready for future circuit additions, and they pop out again when you add a breaker later.
7) What is the difference between the Homeline HOMFP filler plate and the Eaton GB/GHB/GHBS filler plate?
Both close off an open breaker space so the panel front stays complete, but they serve different equipment lines. The HOMFP is a Homeline series accessory for indoor, single-phase residential load centers, CSA certified and supplied as a set of 5 so one purchase covers multiple open spaces.
