1) Can the Locknetics IPB-300 pushbutton be used as a request-to-exit button to release a maglock?
That's exactly what the IPB-300 mushroom pushbutton is built for. It uses an SPDT switch contact, so you get both a normally open and a normally closed set from the same button, which is what a maglock release needs: the N.C. side breaks power to the magnet on press. It runs on 12/24 VDC and the contacts are rated 5A at 125 VAC, so it can also drive a relay or a door control input rather than only switching the lock directly.
2) What is the difference between the Locknetics IPB-300 and the IPB-300-N?
Only the plate. The IPB-300 mounts on a single gang plate; the IPB-300-N carries the same LED illuminated mushroom button, two lenses and SPDT switch on a narrow plate. Pick the narrow-plate version when you are mounting on a door frame, mullion or jamb face that will not take a single gang plate, and the standard when you are landing on a single gang box in the wall.
3) Do I have to order the red and green lens separately for the Locknetics IPB-300?
No. Both red and green lenses ship with the button, so you choose the color at install rather than at the order desk. Green is the usual pick for a public egress button, red where the button is a release or a stop that staff need to spot fast. Same for the narrow plate IPB-300-N.
4) Will the illuminated LED on the Locknetics IPB-300 work on a 12 volt access control power supply?

Contacts carry 5A at 125 VAC, enough for a strike's control circuit or a relay coil.
