1) Is the BTT11 the right bit for setting 3/8 inch concrete anchors?
Yes for anchors that call for a 3/8 inch hole, which includes most 3/8 inch sleeve anchors, wedge anchors and drop-in style anchors sized to a 3/8 inch bit. Match the bit size to the anchor manufacturer's specified hole diameter, not to the bolt diameter, since some 3/8 inch bolts call for a larger hole.
2) Can I use this masonry bit to drill steel or wood?
No. The BTT11 is a masonry bit, ground for concrete, block, brick and mortar. Running it in steel will ruin the carbide tip, and in wood it tears rather than cuts. Use a twist bit for metal and an auger or spade bit for timber.
