No. The McKinney MCK-EPT will not function on a center pivot door. It works on most doors hung on butt hinges, continuous hinges, or offset pivots, but a center pivot swings on an axis set back into the door, and the EPT can't follow that motion. For a center pivot opening you need a different transfer method.

The MCK-EPT installs in the door edge and the frame edge, so both halves are mortised into the edges rather than surface applied. The prep is separate from the hinge prep, which is why it can be used with butt hinges, continuous hinges, or pivots on the same opening.

The MCK-EPT accepts a thick cable and protects it inside a flexible steel shield, so it's built for the larger conductor bundles an electrified mortise lock, electric strike, or request-to-exit device needs, not just a pair of thin wires. The steel shield takes the flex every time the door swings so the cable jacket isn't working against a bare hinge gap.

You order hinges separately. The MCK-EPT is a wiring pathway only, mortised into the door and frame edges; it carries no weight and doesn't hang the door. Plan on your normal hinge, continuous hinge, or pivot set plus the EPT, and confirm the door has an edge prep and a raceway to the lock case.

Commercial. The MCK-EPT is a commercial-duty electric power transfer, the sort of part specified on access-controlled openings in offices, schools, healthcare, and multi-family common areas where an electrified lock or exit device has to be fed from the frame.

NRP, non-removable pin, is offered as an option on the MCK-EPT. It's worth specifying on out-swinging exterior or secure-side openings, where the hardware on the hinge side of the door is reachable from outside.
