1) Will the Milbank U2692-XL meter socket work for a duplex with two 100 amp services?
That's exactly what it's built for. The U2692-XL is a 2 position vertical socket, 4 terminal ringless, rated 100 continuous amps, single phase, 300 VAC, 60 Hz. Each position takes a standard 4 jaw single phase meter. Note there is no main breaker in the enclosure (zero main breakers), so overcurrent protection has to live downstream in each tenant panel or in a separate disconnect.
2) What wire sizes can I land in this Milbank 2 position meter socket?
Line side lugs take 6 AWG through 350 kcmil, so a 100 amp or larger service entrance conductor set lands without an adapter. Load side is smaller, 6 AWG to 2/0 AWG per position. Terminals are lay in type, which means you drop the conductor in rather than threading it through a hole. There's a ground lug provided for the equipment ground.
3) Can I use this socket on an underground service, or is it overhead only?
Both. Cable entry is rated overhead or underground. It ships with a small closing plate over the hub opening, so for an overhead drop you pull the plate and fit the hub your utility specifies; for an underground lateral you leave the plate in place and bring conduit in from the bottom.
