Both. The CP3B family covers 100A and 200A: order CP3B51115A22 for the 100A ringless unit with 16 branch circuit positions, or CP3B52119A22 for the 200A ringless unit with 24 positions. Same 240V, 4 terminal socket, 22k AIC on either. If the utility is setting a 200A service, the 100A unit is the wrong part and will not pass inspection, so match the amperage to the service size on the drawing before you order.
2) Does the Milbank CP3B come in ring type or ringless, and how do I know which one my utility requires?
Both socket styles are offered. CP3B11110A22SL1 is the ring type 100A unit with 2-16 circuit positions and a switch load position; CP3B51115A22 is the ringless 100A with 16 positions. Ring versus ringless is dictated by the serving utility, not by the installer, so pull the utility's meter socket requirement before ordering. Getting it backwards means the meter cannot be sealed and the utility will not set it.
3) Can the Milbank CP3B be mounted outdoors on a pad, and is it rated for rain?
Pad mount is the mounting method, and the enclosure is Type 3R, which is the outdoor rating for rain, sleet and ice formation. It is UL Listed. Body is G90 galvanized steel with a powder coat finish for corrosion resistance in the weather.
