Milbank splits the 800A racks by phase: K4722 is the 800A 3-phase version and K4729 is the 800A single-phase version. Both accept three 4-600 kcmil conductors or six 1-250 kcmil conductors per the lug configuration, and both are EUSERC configurations. Pick by the service phase on the drawing, not by amperage alone.
2) What conductor sizes will the lugs on the Milbank 400A CT rack take?
On the 400A racks (K4903 single-phase, K4904 three-phase) the lug arrangement takes one 4-600 kcmil conductor or two 1-250 kcmil conductors. The 800A racks step that up to three 4-600 kcmil or six 1-250 kcmil. Connection is lug type throughout, so you terminate directly to the rack rather than through a busbar adapter.
3) Will this Milbank CT rack pass a utility inspection that requires EUSERC approval?
All four racks (K4722, K4729, K4903, K4904) are built to EUSERC configurations, which is what most Western utilities require on CT-metered services. The rack is also UL Listed. If your utility works to a non-EUSERC standard, confirm their accepted drawing before ordering.
4) Does the Milbank CT mounting rack include the current transformers?
No. The rack is a current transformer accessory, the structural mounting and lug termination assembly that holds the CTs and the service conductors.
