1) What's the difference between the 13 terminal and 15 terminal versions of this Milbank transformer-rated socket?
Two terminal counts are offered: the 13 terminal U3322-R and the 15 terminal U3555-R. The terminal (jaw) count has to match what your utility specifies for the meter they'll set, so check the utility's approved meter socket list before ordering. Everything else in the family is the same transformer-rated, 3 phase, 600 VAC construction.
2) Can this Milbank meter socket be mounted outdoors on an exterior wall?
Yes. It's a Type 3R enclosure, UL Listed, built from G90 galvanized steel with a powder coat finish, and it surface mounts, so an exterior wall is the intended location. Type 3R is rain and sleet resistant, which covers a normal outdoor service wall but not washdown or submersion.
3) Is this meter socket set up for overhead service or underground lateral?
