Mulberry 11214 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the Mulberry 11214 adapter let me mount a 3 inch round fixture on an existing 4 inch square box?
That is exactly what the Mulberry 11214 CV52R3 does. It converts a 4 inch square box opening to a 3 inch round mounting pattern, so a round fixture, cover, or device can go on a square box you already have in the ceiling or wall without cutting the box out.
2) Do I have to replace the electrical box to switch from a square cover to a round one?
No. The CV52R3 adapter is the alternative to swapping the box. It bridges the 4 inch square box to a 3 inch round pattern, which saves the labor of pulling and re-mounting a box on a retrofit or fixture replacement.
3) What size box does the Mulberry CV52R3 adapter fit?
It is built for a standard 4 inch square electrical box, which is the common commercial and residential square box size. The device side of the adapter is a 3 inch round pattern, so confirm your fixture canopy or cover matches a 3 inch round hole pattern and not a 4 inch round one.
4) How many Mulberry 11214 adapters come in a pack?
The 11214 CV52R3 is sold 100 to a pack, which suits an electrical contractor or MRO stockroom doing fixture changeouts across a building rather than a single-box repair.
5) Is this the right adapter for PVC conduit boxes?
The Mulberry 11214 is specified for standard 4 inch square electrical boxes. If the run is nonmetallic and you need a PVC conduit box adapter instead, the Cantex 5133711 PVCBA3 is the PVC adapter we carry.
6) What part number do I give my supplier for the Mulberry square-to-round box adapter?
Order it as Mulberry item 11214, series CV52R3. That is the 4 inch square to 3 inch round adapter, supplied in 100 packs.
