NUVO Lighting 62-569 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) Can the NUVO Pi 62-569 flush mount be installed in a bathroom or over a shower?
The Pi 11 inch LED flush mount is rated for damp locations and listed for indoor use, so a bathroom ceiling, a covered porch soffit, or a laundry room is fine. It is not wet-rated, so keep it out of direct spray and off open exterior locations.
    2) How do I set the color temperature on the NUVO 62-569, and do I order a different part for 3000K?
One part number covers the range. The Pi 62-569 is CCT selectable on the fixture itself, so you pick the color temperature at install rather than ordering a separate SKU. Output tracks the setting at 2100 lumens on the lowest step and 2200 lumens on the other two, with a 90 CRI and 25 watts draw.
    3) Will the NUVO Pi 11 inch flush mount cover a standard round ceiling junction box?
Yes. The Pi is a ceiling-mounted close-to-ceiling fixture with an 11 inch diameter canopy, which covers a 4 inch octagon or round box with room to spare. It projects 3.13 inches below the ceiling, so it clears low-headroom hallways, closets, and stairwells where a semi-flush would hang too far down.
    4) Can I put the NUVO 62-569 on a dimmer, and can I relamp it later?
It dims, but there is no lamp to change. The LED is integrated into the fixture, so when the diode assembly reaches end of life the fixture is replaced rather than relamped. Rated life is 50,000 hours, which is why it suits multi-family corridors and rentals where nobody wants a service call for a bulb.
    5) Is the NUVO Pi flush mount line voltage or low voltage?
Line voltage. The Pi 62-569 runs on 120V and draws 25 watts, so it wires straight to a standard residential or light commercial branch circuit with no transformer or remote driver needed.
    6) What is the NUVO 62-569 made of, and how heavy is it for ceiling support?
Steel body with a black finish and a frosted etched glass diffuser. It weighs 8.65 lbs, which is within the 50 lb limit of a properly secured outlet box but heavy enough that you want the box fastened to framing or a fixture-rated brace, not a plastic box tied to drywall.
    7) Is the NUVO Pi 62-569 safety listed for commercial jobs?
It carries a cETLus safety listing, covering both US and Canadian requirements, and is RoHS compliant. For institutional and MRO procurement files, note the California Prop 65 disclosure for lead.
    8) Will the NUVO Pi match other fixtures I am standardizing across a building?
The Pi is a transitional-style flush mount in black with frosted etched glass, which reads neutral enough to sit alongside both contemporary and traditional trim. Because the 62-569 is offered in the single black finish, repeat orders across a property come out matching without finish-code juggling.
    9) Is 2200 lumens from the NUVO Pi enough to light a bedroom or small kitchen?
At up to 2200 lumens with 90 CRI, one Pi 11 inch flush mount handles a bedroom, hallway, entry, or small bath as the sole ceiling source. For a kitchen or a larger living space, plan on two fixtures or supplement with task lighting, since 11 inches of diffuser only spreads so far.
