NUVO Lighting 62-999 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) Can the NUVO 62-999 flush mount go in a bathroom or over a shower area?
The 62-999 drum flush mount is rated for damp locations and indoor use only, so a bathroom ceiling outside the shower enclosure is fine. It is not a wet-location fixture, so skip covered porches with blowing rain or direct shower spray.
    2) Can the bulb be replaced in the NUVO 62-999 fabric drum fixture?
No. The LED is integrated, not a lamp in a socket, so there is nothing to relamp. Rated life is 50,000 hours, and at end of life the whole fixture gets swapped. For units where maintenance staff need to change lamps, choose a socketed flush mount instead.
    3) Can I put the NUVO 62-999 on a dimmer, and what wiring does it need?
It is a dimmable 120V fixture drawing 20W. Because the LED is integrated, it needs an LED-compatible dimmer rather than a standard incandescent rotary or slide type.
    4) How much light does the NUVO 62-999 put out, and what room size does that cover?
Output is 1230 to 1330 lumens at 20W, which suits a bedroom, hallway, entry, or small office at a single-fixture install. For a larger living room or a corridor run, plan on multiple fixtures spaced out.
    5) Is the NUVO 62-999 listed for use in a commercial building?
The fixture carries a cETLus safety listing, which covers both US and Canadian installations, and it is RoHS compliant. Note the California Prop 65 disclosure for lead.
    6) Is the NUVO 62-999 light enough for a standard ceiling box, and what is the body made of?
It weighs 3 pounds with a steel base, so a standard ceiling outlet box handles it without additional bracing. The shade is white fabric over an acrylic diffuser, which softens the light rather than throwing a hard pattern.
How fast can I get the NUVO Lighting 62-999 delivered?
