NUVO Lighting 65-867-4 LED Area Light Type IV, 240W, Bronze Finish, 5000K, 277-480V

The 65-867-4 is a high-voltage fixture, rated 277V-480V. It will not operate on 120V or 208/240V service. For a parking lot or site pole fed from a 277/480V panel it drops straight in; if your poles are fed 120-277V you need the lower-voltage version of the fixture instead.

It ships with a 2-3/8 inch slip-fitter mount, so it slides onto a 2-3/8 inch outside-diameter horizontal tenon or davit arm. If your poles have a square drill pattern for a direct arm mount, the slip-fitter will not bolt to them without a tenon adapter.

Yes, it is an outdoor fixture with a wet location rating and cULus certification, so it can be pole-mounted in the open with direct exposure to rain and snow. The housing is die-cast aluminum.

At 240W drawing and 32,585 lumens delivered, it is in the range typically used to replace 750W to 1000W HID heads, where the HID lamp lumens degrade heavily over life. Two things to check first: your poles must be fed 277V-480V, and you need a 2-3/8 inch tenon for the included slip-fitter. The old ballast and lamp are removed entirely since the LED array is integrated.

Type IV throws light forward in a wide pattern from the fixture, which is what you want along the perimeter of a lot, on building walls facing the lot, or at the edge of a drive aisle where you do not want light spilling behind the pole. For a pole in the middle of a lot that needs to light all sides, a Type V distribution is the better choice; for lighting down a roadway, Type III. The 65-867-4 puts out 32,585 lumens at 240W.

The fixture is dimmable, so it can be tied into a 0-10V control, photocell, or scheduling system for after-hours reduction. Color temperature is fixed at 5000K, not field-selectable, so every fixture you order will match at the same CCT. CRI is 80.

No lamps to buy. The LED array is integrated into the fixture, rated 50,000 average hours, so there is no socket, no ballast, and nothing to relamp. When the array reaches end of life the fixture is replaced, which is the tradeoff against an older HID head you could relamp in place.

It weighs 11.93 lbs and measures 30.28 inches long, 12.39 inches wide, 3.11 inches high. That is light enough for a single installer on a lift, and the shallow 3.11 inch profile keeps EPA loading down on existing poles compared with a deep HID shoebox.

RoHS compliant, yes. It also carries a California Proposition 65 warning for lead, which matters if you are specifying into a California facility and have to log Prop 65 notices on submittals.

Bronze only, which is the standard site-lighting color and will match existing bronze poles and arms on most commercial properties. If your site is standardized on black or white heads, this one will not match.
