    NUVO Lighting TH351 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) What bulb does the NUVO TH351 track head take, and is one included?
    The TH351 takes a single MR16 lamp with a GU10 bi-pin base, rated to 50W max at 120V. No lamp ships with the head, so order bulbs separately. Since it's a line-voltage GU10 socket, you don't need a transformer the way a 12V MR16 head would.
    2) Can I use the TH351 track head in a covered exterior walkway or a bathroom with a shower?
    No. It's rated for dry locations and indoor use only, so keep it out of covered exteriors, parking structures, shower enclosures and anywhere subject to condensation. For those spots you need a damp- or wet-rated fixture.
    3) Will this NUVO track head fit the track I already have on the ceiling?
    The TH351 is a ceiling-mounted track head on a round back, wired for 120V line-voltage track. It will seat on single-circuit track of the same system type it is built for, but it is not a universal adapter: confirm your existing track's connector family (the three common ones are mutually incompatible) before ordering.     4) How far does the TH351 head hang below the track, and how much room does it need to aim?
    Extension is 6.5 inches from the track, with the head body measuring 4.13 by 2.75 by 2.75 inches. Budget that 6.5 inch drop plus swing clearance when you're spacing heads along a run or working under a low ceiling or soffit. Each head weighs 0.98 lbs, so a multi-head run adds very little load to the track.
    5) Is this track head listed for commercial use, and does it have any Prop 65 issue I need to disclose?
    Safety listing is cETLus, which covers both US and Canadian installations. Note that it carries a California Proposition 65 warning for lead, which matters if you're shipping or installing into California and have disclosure obligations. The fixture is RoHS compliant.
    6) Is the TH351 an LED fixture, or can I just put LED lamps in it?
    It's a halogen-technology head, not an integrated LED fixture, so there is no built-in driver or selectable color temperature. The GU10 socket does accept 120V GU10 LED lamps, which is how most people run these now, just stay at or under the 50W fixture rating. If you need fixed color temperature or field-selectable CCT built in, you want an integrated LED track head instead.
    7) What finish does the TH351 come in, and will it match other heads on my existing track?
    Russet Bronze is the only finish for the TH351, on a round-back body of glass and metal in a transitional style. If you're adding heads to a run that already has a different bronze or a black or brushed nickel, the TH351 won't match it, you'd need the same-finish head across the run.
