    1) Is the NUVO TH405 track head rated for outdoor or damp locations like a covered patio?
    No. The TH405 is an indoor fixture with a dry location rating only, so covered patios, bathrooms over the shower, and any spot that sees moisture are out. It is safety listed cETLus for indoor dry use.
    2) Can I replace the bulb in the NUVO TH405 track head when it burns out?
    There is no lamp to change. The TH405 uses an integrated LED, so the light source is built into the head and rated for 30,000 hours. When it reaches end of life you replace the whole head, not a bulb. Worth knowing if you are standardizing a retail or office ceiling where a maintenance tech would normally just swap lamps.
    3) Will the NUVO TH405 work on my existing track, and what voltage does it need?
    The TH405 is a 120V line-voltage track head drawing 12W. It will not run on a 12V or 24V low-voltage track system without the correct transformer arrangement, and it is a ceiling-mounted track product. Confirm your track is a 120V line-voltage system before ordering.
    4) Is the color temperature adjustable on the NUVO TH405, and will it match heads I already installed?
    No, the TH405 is not CCT selectable, it is a fixed color temperature head. If you are adding to an existing run, you cannot dial this one in to match, so order the same head or confirm the CCT of what is already up there before mixing.
    5) Is a 24 degree beam too narrow for general room lighting?
    Yes, for general ambient light it is. The 24 degree beam on the TH405 is a spot/narrow flood pattern meant to put its 1020 lumens on a defined target, artwork, merchandise, a display case, a countertop run. If you want to wash a whole room evenly you want a wider beam head, or you space these tighter and accept the scalloping.
    6) Will the NUVO TH405 dim on my existing wall dimmer?
    The TH405 is dimmable on a 120V circuit. Because it is an integrated LED, it needs an LED-compatible dimmer, an older incandescent/magnetic dimmer with a high minimum load is the usual cause of flicker or dropout on a single 12W head.

    8) What is the TH405 track head housing made of, and is it durable enough for commercial use?
    The housing is die-cast aluminum in a brushed nickel finish, which is the standard construction for commercial track heads because it doubles as the heat sink for the integrated LED. It is also RoHS compliant. Note the California Prop 65 listing for lead.
