    1) Will the NUVO TH445 track head fit my existing track, or do I need to know the track system first?
    Track heads only seat in the track system they are built for, and the TH445 is a 120V track head rated for ceiling mounting. Before ordering, confirm what rail is already up (the three common line-voltage systems are not interchangeable).     2) Can I use this NUVO track head in a covered exterior walkway or a bathroom?
    No. The TH445 is an indoor fixture with a Dry location rating only, so it cannot go in a damp or wet location, including covered exterior soffits, open porches, or directly over a shower or tub. Those openings need a damp- or wet-listed head.
    3) Will this track head dim, and does it need a special LED dimmer?
    The TH445 is dimmable on 120V. Integrated LED drivers are particular about the control, so the dimmer has to be an LED-compatible (ELV or forward-phase LED) model rather than an old incandescent rheostat.     4) Can the LED be replaced when it burns out, or do I replace the whole head?
    The light source is an integrated LED, not a lamp in a socket, so there is no bulb to change. Rated life is 30,000 hours. When it reaches end of life you replace the head itself, which is worth factoring in on a long track run you plan to maintain as a fleet.
    5) Is a 24 degree beam right for accent lighting artwork and merchandise?
    Yes. A 24 degree beam is a narrow flood, which is the usual choice for picking out artwork, signage, or a product display from a ceiling-mounted track. For general washing of a wall or an aisle you would want a wider beam head; for a tight spot on a single object, a narrower one.
    6) Is the TH445 good enough color quality for a retail or gallery space?
    CRI is 90, which is the usual threshold specified where merchandise color, artwork, or finishes have to read accurately. Note the color temperature is fixed, not field selectable, so every head on a run has to be the same model to keep the light consistent.
    7) What finish does the TH445 come in if I need to match existing track heads?
    Brushed nickel is the only finish the TH445 is built in, in a contemporary pipe-stem style. If the existing track and heads in the space are black or white, this one will not match and you should source the equivalent head in that finish instead.
