Sta-Kon RG9711UF NYLON INSULATED RING 45DEG BEND

The RG9711UF is a nylon insulated ring terminal with a 45 degree bend in the tongue. The ring tongue goes under a screw or stud so the connection cannot pull off without removing the fastener, and the 45 degree bend lets the wire leave the terminal at an angle instead of straight out. That matters in tight enclosures, panel doors, and terminal blocks where a flat ring terminal would force a sharp bend in the conductor right at the barrel.

Nylon. The RG9711UF uses a nylon insulating sleeve rather than vinyl. Nylon is the tougher of the two insulation materials for terminals, which is why it is the common choice where the terminal gets handled, pulled through a loom, or sits in a panel that sees heat and abrasion.

Use the 45 degree style, like the Sta-Kon RG9711UF, when the stud or screw you are landing on does not face the direction your wire is running. The pre-formed bend takes the offset for you, so the conductor is not stressed at the crimp barrel and the ring still seats flat under the fastener. If your wire approaches the terminal point straight on and there is room behind it, a standard flat ring terminal is the simpler pick. A spade or fork terminal is the alternative when the connection has to be removable without backing the screw all the way out, though it gives up the captive hold a ring provides.

The RG9711UF insulator is red. On insulated terminals, the sleeve color is the standard way crews identify the conductor range a terminal is sized for at a glance, so a bin of red terminals is quickly distinguished from blue or yellow on the bench. Match the color coding you are already using on the job so an installer does not grab the wrong barrel size mid-pull.

Order it as Sta-Kon RG9711UF. It is manufactured in Mexico. Distributors and procurement buyers standardizing a terminal kit should quote the full RG9711UF designation, since the Sta-Kon ring terminal line runs many barrel and stud combinations under similar numbers.
