OATEY 74187 3" or 4" PVC General Purpose Cleanout w/ 6" CHR Cover

Both. The Oatey 74187 is a general purpose PVC cleanout sized for either 3 inch or 4 inch PVC, so one part covers the two most common DWV branch and main sizes in residential and light commercial drain lines.

It comes with a 6 inch chrome cover. That gives you a finished round access plate at the wall or floor face, which is what you want when the cleanout lands somewhere visible rather than buried in a chase.

Chrome, per the CHR designation on model 74187. The cleanout body itself is PVC, so you get a plastic body solvent welded into the drain line with a chrome finished cover on the exposed side.

It is a general purpose drain cleanout: a PVC access fitting that ties into a 3 inch or 4 inch PVC waste line and gives you a rodding point, finished with a 6 inch chrome cover. Use it where the access point will be seen, such as a wall face or a finished floor in a utility area. If the cleanout is landing in a traffic bearing slab or a driveway, you want a heavier duty floor cleanout with a cast or brass load rated top instead, not a chrome covered general purpose unit.

The 74187 is a single configuration, one model number, ordered as the cleanout with its 6 inch chrome cover. There are no finish or size variations to pick between, so a property manager replacing one access point and a contractor buying a handful are ordering the same part.

Listed at 4 pounds with a volume of 0.147, so it is a light single carton item. Easy to carry a few on the van for service calls without eating much shelf space.
