Our upgraded universal clamp holds two templates in full contact with the door to reduce the chances of installation errors and misalignment. The template bushings in holes ½” or less are made of heat treated steel to exact hardness tolerances. And each templates true size holes take the guess work out sizing.

Pro-Lok IN490-PRO – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What locks do the Pro-Lok IN490-PRO templates prep a door for?
The IN490-PRO template set preps doors for Arrow Revolution and Yale InTouch push-button lock installations. If you are installing either of those, this is the template to grab; a different lock family needs the matching IN-Series template instead.
2) Do I need anything else to use the Arrow Revolution/InTouch PRO templates?
Yes. The PRO templates are built to be held by the Professional Series Universal Clamp (INCL-PRO), which is a separate purchase. The set itself includes the two templates, one for inside door prep and one for outside. Without the clamp you have no way to hold both templates in contact with the door at once.
3) I already own the original Pro-Lok IN-Series templates. Do I have to replace them to move to the PRO system?
No, Pro-Lok states you can keep the originals. Buy the Pro Series Clamp plus the corresponding outside template, and you get the two-sided, one-setup prep without starting your template collection over.
4) How many templates come in the Pro-Lok IN490-PRO set?
Two. One template preps the outside face of the door and one preps the inside, and the PRO Series clamp holds both at the same time so the door gets drilled in a single setup rather than flipping and re-aligning.
5) Do I have to size the holes myself with these templates?
No guesswork on sizing. Each Pro-Lok PRO template carries true size holes, meaning the opening in the template matches the finished hole you need for the Arrow Revolution or Yale InTouch prep.
6) Where are Pro-Lok IN-Series PRO templates made?
Made in the USA, per Pro-Lok. For agencies and institutions with domestic sourcing preferences on tooling, that is stated on the product.
