1) What locks does the Pro-Lok IN600-MORT-PRO template set prep a door for?
The IN600-MORT-PRO template set preps doors for Kaba 8100 Series and Kaba E-Plex 5086 mortise locks. One set covers both, so if a building mixes the mechanical 8100 and the electronic E-Plex 5086, you are not buying two jigs.
2) Do I need anything else to use the Pro-Lok IN600 mortise templates?
Yes. The templates themselves are the two plates, inside and outside. They mount in the Pro-Lok Professional Series Universal Clamp (INCL-PRO), which is what holds both plates against the door, and the mortise pocket work uses the Mortise Pocket Alignment Tool (IN51). Neither is part of the template set, so order them separately if you do not already run the Professional series.
3) How many templates come in the Pro-Lok Kaba 8100 mortise PRO set?
Two plates ship in the set, one for the inside face of the door and one for the outside. Both load into the universal clamp at the same time so you prep both faces in a single setup instead of flipping and re-squaring the jig.
4) Will the Pro-Lok IN600-MORT-PRO templates work with my older Pro-Lok clamp?
These are IN-Series Modular Professional templates, and they are specified for the Professional Series Universal Clamp, INCL-PRO. That clamp is the one built to carry two templates in full contact with the door at once, which is how this set is meant to be run.
5) Do I have to size the holes myself with a Pro-Lok IN600 template, or are they cut to the finished size?
The holes are true size. You drill through the bushing at the finished diameter rather than pilot-and-open-up, which is what keeps the two faces lining up on a mortise prep.
